Samyang 14mm f/2.4 XP Lens Premium for Canon Mount

Samyang 14mm f/2.4 XP Lens Premium

The Samyang 14mm f/2.4 XP lens is an ultra-high resolution premium manual focus lens capable of capturing 8K video and 50-megapixels stills. The lens has 18 optical elements arranged in 14 groups, a rounded 9 bladed aperture diaphragm combined with an extremely high quality build that ensures you can capture professional wide-angle shots with confidence.

Full Frame Premium XP Lens

Designed for use with full frame cameras, the Samyang 14mm f/2.4 XP provides a wider than 114° angle of view that is ideal for shooting landscapes and dramatic environmental portraits. On a ASP-C sized sensor camera it provides an almost 90° angle of view and is perfectly suited to inspire you to “get closer” to your subjects for compelling compositions.

High Resolution Video and Photos

The high-end lens from Samyang has an unprecedented resolving power for an ultra-wide angle lens making it suitable for producing 8K video and 50-megapixels stills. Aside from the advantage of razor sharper images, this also helps to ensure that you can use the lens with the next generation of ultra-high resolution cameras.

18 Optical Elements Arranged in 14 Groups

The incredible image resolution is achieved by a sophisticated optical construction that consists of 18 lens elements arranged in 14 groups. The design utilises a hybrid aspherical lens, two aspherical lenses, two extra-low dispersion lenses and three highly refractive lenses that ensure edge to edge sharpness while keeping chromatic aberrations and colour fringing to an absolute minimum.

Built-in AE Microprocessor

The lens features an integrated AE chip that allows in-camera focus confirmation to be used when manual focusing the lens and allows you to adjust the aperture directly from the camera. This means you can shoot in a choice of exposure modes such as Auto/P/A/S/M giving you better automatic control than previous Samyang lenses.

Ultra-Multi-Coating

The optical elements make use of Samyang’s proprietary ultra-multi coating in order to reduce flare and ghosting, while at the same time improving contrast and colour neutrality in the presence of a strong light source. Perfect for shooting backlit portraits or sunset landscapes when you want to capture a dramatic light source without compromising on image quality.

Ultra-Bright f/2.4 Aperture

The lens has a bright maximum aperture of f/2.4, making it perfect for astrophotography and low-light street shooting. The wide-open aperture also means you can create wide-angle compositions with a particularly shallow depth of field.

Rounded 9-bladed Diaphragm

A rounded diaphragm with 9 blades on the lens produces quality bokeh in out of focus areas and creates an incredible starburst effect when photographing light sources at closed apertures.

Minimum Focus Distance of 28 cm

The lenses minimum focus distance of 28 cm allows you to work closely with your subjects so you can fully explore the unique perspectives provided by a super-wide field of view.

Durable Aluminium Build

Utilising an aluminium housing the Samyang f/2.4 XP Premium lens provides maximum durability with a robust construction. A lens hood is also supplied with the 14mm f/2.4 XP lens to block stray light when shooting in harsh light.
