Nitecore MH12 V2 1200 Lumens

The Nitecore MH12 V2 Rechargeable LED Flashlight continues to be built with the needs of military and law enforcement in mind.

This a powerful and compact pocket-size light that is as small as most backup lights but powerful enough to use as a primary everyday carry illuminator. Its output comes from a white Cree XP-L2 V6 LED with four outputs from 1 to 1200 lumens, plus three specialty modes. The output intensity, strobe, location beacon, and SOS signal modes are controlled using an intelligent selector switch on the body while the basic momentary or constant-on activation is accessed from the tactical tail cap switch. The light is driven by a high-capacity 21700 Li-ion battery, with the ability to run on 18650's or CR123's using the included battery cartridge, expanding your ability to keep it running even if the supplied battery runs out of charge

Built for durability, this light features an aluminium housing with a Type III hard-anodized finish that resists scratching and corrosion. It is an O-ring sealed with an IP68 rating to keep out dust and allow it to be submerged to 6.6'. The light is further resistant to drops of over 3 feet. Speaking to its police use design, Nitecore includes a moulded hard plastic holster that has solid retention and a fast draw. The light goes into the holster head-down so that when you draw it your thumb naturally covers the tail cap switch for fast use in stressful situations.

Performance

The ultra-low 1-lumen output is ideal for reading without disturbing others

Low 55 lumens will light a tent, closet, or car trunk for finding gear and checking what you have

Medium 300-lumen output lights rooms, truck beds, bed caps, and other larger areas for navigating and moving freely around

High 1200 lumens is ideal for hiking and navigating safely in total darkness

High-output Cree XP-L2 V6 LED and deep smooth reflector produces a beam that is defined by a bright centre cone of light with a large dim peripheral spill

SOS mode: Automatically cycles through the Morse Code distress signal to alert searchers if you have incapacitated

Beacon mode: Pulses a flash of light at regular intervals to show your position

Strobe mode: Bright random frequency strobe can be used to disorient a possible threat

Switching

Location: Tailcap and body

Type: Pushbuttons

Momentary and constant-on modes using the tail cap switch

Mode body switch controls output intensity and specialty mode(s)

The exposed tail cap switch is easy to find and activate in stressful situations

Last mode memory returns light to the previous output level when it is turned on again—only applies to standard outputs and strobe in Tactical mode; in Daily mode, it will not memorize SOS or beacon

Two "User Mode" options: Default "Daily" mode provides access to four brightness levels and all three specialty modes; "Tactical" mode gives access to the four brightness levels and only the strobe specialty mode

Construction

1" diameter bezel

Lightweight and durable aluminium alloy housing

Corrosion- and scratch-resistant type-III anodized finish

Tempered glass lens window with scratch-resistant hard coatings

IP68-rated to be waterproof and submersible to almost 7 feet and dustproof

Heat-dissipating fins machined into the head act as passive heat management

A hexagonal anti-roll collar keeps the light in place when placed on a flat surface

The purpose-built tactical holster is made of hard plastic and designed for police/law enforcement use with a fast draw and reliable retention; the light goes in head-down, so the user's thumb is naturally on the tail cap switch when drawn

Includes stainless steel clip and lanyard

Power and Charging

Runs on one included high-capacity 21700 5000mAh Li-ion battery

Integrated USB-C charging port on the body charges the battery in the flashlight without the need for bulky charging bases/cradles

Charge time is approximately 4 hours

Digitally regulated output maintains a consistent beam intensity throughout the battery charge

Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) system monitors the internal temperature and automatically steps down the output intensity to prevent damage due to excessive heat

Reverse polarity protection prevents damage if the battery is installed backward

Integrated battery level indicator on the push button

Capable of running on one user-supplied 18650 rechargeable or two CR123A disposable batteries using the included cartridge—output and runtimes may be affected
