Canon Cinema EU-V2 Extension Unit
Canon's EU-V2 Expansion Unit 2 mounts onto your C500 Mark II camera and provides a V-mount battery mount for power as well as ports that expand the capabilities of your camera. The expansion unit adds five ports: Genlock/Sync Out, Remote B (RS-422), Ethernet, DC Out (24V, 2A), and a lens control port. This unit expands your C500 Mark II for work as a full-sized production camera, adding two 3-pin XLR connectors for audio input. The V-mount battery plate incorporates a D-Tap output for powering accessories.
The Genlock/Sync Out port accepts a genlock signal that slaves your camera to the same time base as the other equipment receiving the genlock signal. The Remote B port allows you to control your camera using RS-422 protocol, while the Ethernet port allows you to connect your camera to a LAN for control and live streaming applications. The DC out port provides power for accessories, while the lens control port allows you to interface with select lenses. The ports have rubber covers to protect the connectors from dust intrusion when not in use.
