Konus 7x50 Navy Man Binoculars

Konus developed their 7x50 Navy man Binoculars for use on, or near the water. By employing a relatively low magnification with large objectives, images stay bright, even in low-light, while maintaining a wide exit pupil that helps to minimize the disorientation often associated with using binoculars while on the water. Anti-reflection optical coatings help to limit light loss which boosts image brightness and contrast. The coating's ruby tint reduces glare and enhances contrast and overall image sharpness while reducing eyestrain.

Complementing the optical performance are built features that help protect the binoculars in harsh marine environments. First is a protective blue rubber armour that helps to cushion bumps and impacts, and provides a slip-resistant grip in cold and wet conditions. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them water and fog proof, especially when moving from extreme temperature changes. Fold-down rubber eyecups conform to the user's eye sockets to block peripheral light, and for long-duration glassing, the binoculars can be mounted on a tripod using an optional adapter.
