Add a versatile, lightweight full matte box system to your rig with the Misfit Kick 360 MK II 3-Stage Swing-Away Kit from Bright Tangerine. This kit includes the Misfit Kick 360 MK II 2-stage core, an Expansion Pack, three 4 x 5.65" filter trays, a Swing-Away dovetail, a Swing-Away core, a Swing-Away arm, a carbon fiber top flag, and two side flags.

The two-stage core can be mounted using optional clip-on, rod-based, or swing-away adapters and features one 360° rotating stage and one fixed stage. The 4 x 5.65" filter trays provide easy spring-loaded installation into the core and the expansion stage. The carbon fiber top flags mount onto the top and sides of the core, feature an anti-vibration torsion plate, and quickly install without the need for tools. The Swing-Away components mount onto the base of the core and provide mounting onto a standard 15mm LWS rig with swing-away capability.

Bright Tangerine Misfit Kick 360 MK II 2-Stage Core

Build a versatile, lightweight matte box around the Misfit Kick 360 MK II 2-Stage Core from Bright Tangerine. This two-stage core can be mounted using optional clip-on, rod-based, or swing-away adapters. It features one 360° rotating stage and one fixed stage, each of which accepts 4 x 5.65", 5.65 x 5.65", and 5 x 5" filters and filter trays. The core comes ready to support two 4 x 5.65" filters.

You can use the core with a variety of lenses, including cine servo zooms, due to its wide frame of view and compatibility with optional mattes and frame-safe clamp adapters in 80 to 143mm sizes. It is also compatible with optional top and side flags, and it can support an additional rotating stage with an expansion pack.

360° Rotation

The second stage offers 360° of rotation, useful for positioning graduated ND filters or adding a polarizer to reduce glare or reflections. An additional rotating stage can be added with the expansion pack, upgrading it to a 3-stage matte box.

Wide-Angle Coverage with Support up to 5.65 x 5.65"

For operators using wide-angle cine-servo lenses, the Misfit Kick 360 Mk II supports larger 5 x 5", 5.65 x 5.65" trays and filters, removing the risk of vignetting, even when rotating the stage.

Maximum Flare Protection

For additional light protection, add the quick release top flag, side flags, or hard mattes for precise control over flares and image contrast. The added Torsion Plate effectively absorbs and dampens vibrations.

Frame Safe Clamp Adapters

The Misfit Kick 360 Mk II can adapt to any lens using optional Frame Safe clamp adapters, offering an extra-wide field of view for large-format sensors and wide lenses.

Add swing-away functionality to your Misfit Kick, Misfit Kick Mk II, or 360 matte box to make changing lenses faster and easier with this 15mm LWS Swing-Away Arm from Bright Tangerine. The arm connects to the separately available Bright Tangerine Swing-Away Core using the Swing-Away Dovetail.

The swing-away arm mounts onto 15mm LWS rods and is secured with a single locking lever. The arm connects to the dovetail, which allows you to swing the Misfit Kick matte box away from the lens, facilitating quick lens or filter changes. The arm can also be used with studio supports by connecting to the separately available 15 or 19mm Studio Brackets.

Bright Tangerine Side Flags with Variable Wings for Viv and Misfit Matte Boxes

This is a pair of carbon fiber Bright Tangerine Side Flags for the Bright Tangerine Viv and Misfit matte boxes. Each flag features a variable side wing allowing you to adjust the height of the side flag to match how your top and bottom flags are set. The side flags incorporate a lightweight aluminium axel that attaches to your matte box and acts as a pivot for the side wing. When you remove the side flags, the weight of the axle stays with the side flag and not with the matte box.
