Fujifilm X-T50 with XC 15-45mm Lens

Fujifilm X-T50 with XC 15-45mm Lens

The X-T50 is a compact and lightweight body weighing approximately 438g and features the back-illuminated 40.2 megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, the high-speed image processing engine X-Processor 5, and a 5-axis, up to 7.0-stop In Body Image Stabilisation function. It is a versatile model that achieves high image quality, high performance, and portability.

In addition, for the first time, a Film Simulation dial is incorporated on the top plate allowing the user to easily switch between Film Simulations, a key feature unique to Fujifilm that enables a wide variety of colour tones. The X-T50 also incorporates a new rounded design that achieves both comfort in the hand and compact size.

The X-T50 is a digital camera that combines the ease of shooting with a compact and lightweight body and a Film Simulation dial, and outstanding features that deliver exceptional image quality, allowing the user to experience the joy of photography even more.

The fifth generation of the X Series, the Fujifilm X-T50, features a back-illuminated 40.2 megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor paired with the latest image processing algorithm to deliver exceptional resolution while maintaining a high signal-to-noise ratio. With an improved pixel structure, the camera efficiently captures more light and adopts ISO 125 as its normal sensitivity-previously used as extended sensitivity. The electronic shutter achieves speeds up to 1/180000 sec., allowing precise exposure control in various lighting conditions.

The X-T50 comes equipped with an AI-based subject detection AF system developed using deep learning technology. It can detect a variety of subjects including animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, planes, trains, insects, and drones. Enhanced by a more advanced AF prediction algorithm than its predecessors, the camera offers comfortable shooting experiences across a spectrum of fast-moving subjects.

Users can access 20 different Film Simulation modes, including "REALA ACE," which ensures accurate colour reproduction and crisp tonal gradations. This variety allows photographers to choose modes based on the subject or scene, akin to selecting a specific type of photographic film. The camera's high pixel count is effectively utilised by the digital teleconverter function, providing magnification options of 1.4x and 2x.

This model is designed to maintain the series' characteristic portability while integrating a 5-axis In Body Image Stabilisation that compensates up to 7.0 stops. This stabilisation allows for comfortable hand-held shooting even in challenging low light conditions, offering enhanced versatility.

The X-T50 supports 6.2K/30P video recording with a Tracking AF function that ensures high-quality results. The AUTO mode, accessible via a dedicated lever, optimises shooting settings based on the detected scene, simplifying the capture of both still images and videos.

The camera's design emphasises functional beauty with a newly rounded body shape and an ergonomically improved grip for comfortable handling. It features a Film Simulation dial on the top plate for quick switching between modes, enhancing user experience in capturing diverse colour tones.

An integrated pop-up flash, situated with the viewfinder on the top plate, automatically adjusts light output, proving particularly useful in dark scenes and backlit portraits. The X-T50 also features a 1.84 million-dot, tiltable rear LCD monitor similar to that of the X-T30 II, and boasts a refined button layout on the back to improve the shooting experience for both stills and videos.

Fujifilm XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Lens

Sporting a sleek profile and a versatile focal length range, the XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ from Fujifilm is a 23-69mm-equivalent zoom characterized by its compact, retractable design. The first power zoom lens in the X-series lineup, this lens allows for electronic zoom control for smooth focal length adjustments. It also features an optical image stabilization system that minimizes the appearance of camera shake by three stops for sharper handheld images. Complementing the handling assets, the optical design incorporates both aspherical and extra-low dispersion elements, to improve sharpness and clarity, and has a Super EBC coating that suppresses flare and ghosting in order to achieve greater contrast and colour accuracy.

Standard zoom is designed for Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 23-69mm equivalent focal length range.

Two extra-low dispersion elements are used to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to produce high clarity and colour fidelity throughout the zoom range.

Three aspherical elements control distortion and spherical aberrations, which helps to improve sharpness and realize more accurate rendering.

Super EBC coating has been applied to individual elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and colour fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.

Power zoom design allows for easy switching between focal lengths and two separate speeds can be selected depending on how the zoom ring is rotated. When recording video, the zoom will move at a constant speed in order to produce a smoother, more pleasing motion.

Using the power zoom capability, the lens also features a retractable design for a more compact form factor when not in use. Additionally, when the camera is turned on, the lens will automatically extend into position for shooting.

Stepping motor, along with an internal focusing design, affords fast and quiet autofocus performance that benefits both stills and video applications.

Optical image stabilization minimizes the appearance of camera shake by 3 stops to better enable handheld shooting with slower shutter speeds.

Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing out-of-focus quality to benefit the use of selective focus and shallow depth of field techniques.
