Fujifilm XF 23mm F1.4 R LM WR Lens
Fujifilm has also announced a brand-spanking-new version of their incredibly popular XF 23mm F/1.4. The original XF 23mm launched way back in 2013 as one of the first XF lenses. Despite its age, Fuji shooters all agree it's still one of the best lenses the Japanese company has ever released. However, it doesn't feature weather sealing, and the AF speed is lagging compared to newer lenses. Since then, Fujifilm has also released the weather-sealed Fujifilm XF 23mm F/2. It's a compact and lightweight Fujinon prime ideal with fast focusing for smaller Fujifilm XF cameras. Both past XF 23mm lenses were highly acclaimed and awarded for performance and optical excellence. So why is Fuji releasing yet another 23mm?
The answer is simple - if you could combine the best of both past iterations into a perfect lens, why wouldn't you? It's essential to do so to meet the demands of a new generation of photographers. The Fujifilm XF 23mm F/1.4 LM WR is a weather-sealed prime lens with a robust build. It's also interesting to see that it is roughly the same size as the original Fuji 23mm at 77.8mm in length and with a diameter of 67mm. It's a little heavier than the original at 380g and takes a 58mm filter thread.

When it comes to focusing performance, the new Fujifilm XF 23mm F/1.4 LM WR harnesses the power of Linear Motor tech to deliver lightning-fast focus performance. When paired with any of the Fujifilm flagship bodies, or the new Fujifilm X-T30 II, you'll acquire fast and accurate focus every single time. Fuji's 23mm lenses make the perfect prime for any photography or videography kit. The 35mm full-frame equivalent focal distance is wide enough for wedding, street and travel photography. Yet, it's not so wide that it cannot be used for fun portraits or everyday use.
On the inside, the Fujifilm XF 23mm F/1.4 LM WR features no less than 15 elements in 10 groups. The lens assembly includes two aspherical lenses and three ED lenses to manage aberrations and flare for optimal image quality.
